By 2008, Annex 1 countries have to reduce their GHG emissions to around 5% below their 1990 levels (for many countries such as the EU members that corresponds to some 15% below their expected GHG emissions in 2008).
But, in Canada, we have recently gone out of the protocol, and by 2008, will result around the change of our emissions to be only .3 percent of the difference. What the hell.
Do you want to live in a country, by 2008 which will suffer loss of hundreds of trees and lack of fresh air? Do you want to live in a country supporting industrial waste and air pollution? Do you want your offsprings to not see trees? Do what you can, sign this petition.
We, the undersigned, support the wellbeing of the environment and want Canada to join the Kyoto Protocol.
