Call for the immediate resignation of FIFA President, Sepp Blatter

The President of FIFA, Sepp Blatter seems to be hell bent on destroying the game he is meant to be in charge of.

At the recent meeting in Gleneagles, Scotland he helped ensure that goal-line technology in whatever form was effectively killed off for the forseeable future.

He has also brought about the situation whereby FIFA will investigate Martin Taylor's tackle on Eduardo to see if the FA's punishment was adequate. This is disgraceful, football is a contact sport that requires hard challenges to be permitted to ensure it does not become a series of glorified pre-season friendlies. Eduardo has accepted that the challenge was not malicious, and so should Mr Blatter. Even Ryan Giggs, the sort of skillful player Blatter's ideas are aimed at protecting, has spoken out against the over-protection creeping into the game.

In short this man is following his own agenda and ignoring the most important people in football- the fans and players. It is long past the time for him to go.
