CALL FOR THE CREATION OF THE KENYA YOUTH FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

We came to realization that there is an urgent need for the creation of The Kenya Youth For Sustainable Development under the legislative of the Kenya National Assembly with the representation from all the constituencies in Kenya.

If created; Kenya Youth for sustainable Development will aspire to attain a Kenya in which the young people of this Country are an incapable part of the fabric of national leadership and contribute at national, regional and local level to a just and equitable nation in which human rights are respected by an accountable Government created by and for the people.

The Kenya Youth for sustainable Development will be led, youth based legislative organ whose main objective will be to harness the creative and collective aspirations of the Kenyan youth with a view to placing them at the forefront in defining the youth agenda as well as to shape and influence the direction and outcome of national debate and discourse on issues affecting the nation at large and the youth in particular.

Kenya Youth for Sustainable Development role will geared towards ensuring the structured engagement of young people on issues of governance, leadership, human rights, peace, equity and equitable distribution of resources and opportunities across race, age, gender and religion.
Mission

Will be to ensure youth participation in decision making and policy formulation at all levels of Government by equipping them with the necessary leadership skills and capability and to encourage youth to constructively engage the political class on issues affecting them and those of National importance.

To create political space and opportunities for youth in both elective and non-elective leadership positions including but not limited to acting as a lobby for youth agenda, rallying youth to a common cause and encouraging youth to stand up for true, selfless, transparent and accountable leadership.

We Kenyan youth realize that we need to have a platform where we can do youth legislative, With view of the exchange from Hon Members from Nigerian youth Parliament and South African Youth Parliament, we are presenting these proposal to the Kenya National Assembly to consider the creation of Fully Pledged and Legitimate under the law provided on youth affairs The Kenya Youth For Sustainable Development.

We do hereby present this to you that you realize the great achievement the Kenya Youth For Sustainable Development will bring in terms of leadership succession. We will have leaders who are matured enough and ready to work under the required rule of law and to see our country developed to the first class country.

We invite all those who share the same convictions to join us in affirming and hand this petition over to the Kenya National Assembly for implementation.
