On May 6th 2010, approximately 23% of the British electorate voted for the Liberal Democrat party in the general election. In the outcome that resulted in a hung parliament, the leader of the Liberal Democrats (a centre-left party) gave his party's support to the Conservative party.
This decision means that anyone who voted for the Liberal Democrat party on May 6th has unwittingly contributed to the election of a party that directly conflicts with their political ideologies.
For this reason, we demand that we be given the opportunity to cast our votes again.
We, the undersigned, demand that the British government calls a full general election before the end of the year (2010).
