In 2007 Cllr Andrew Eade Leader of T&W Council promised the residents of Brookside a new community centre. This promise was then made again in the by-election in 2008 by Cllr John Dixon and supported by Cllr Andrew Eade.
Since 2007, the only elected member who has been vocal on this topic was Cllr George Ashcroft.
Cllr Eric Carter constantly said "Brookside must be patient".
Cllr Andrew Eade later diverted £2 million of funds away from Brookside to use on another Community.
Cllr Andrew Eade and the Conservative Party have failed to keep their promise to the residents of Brookside, failed to build a New Community Centre which formed an integral part of two election campaigns, then diverted £2 million of funds away from the residents.
