Up until January 17th, the voice of Glenn Beck was available in the Delaware Valley on 1210 WPHT based in Philadelphia. On January 17th Glenn will be replaced on air by a local guy. This will allow no opportunity for Delawareans above the canal to hear Glenn on the airwaves.
WILM currently has a local radio host whose ratings could NEVER match the ratings that Glenn Beck could draw. For the betterment of the station (which already plays Limbaugh and Hannity in the afternoons) it would be a HUGE morning boost to have Beck on the station. It would also make Delaware a more diverse morning talk radio community by putting a conservative voice opposite WDEL's Al Mascitti who is overtly liberal.
Bringing in Beck will increase ratings, increase the profits of advertisers and make WILM the new radio Powerhouse in northern DE.
We, the undersigned, call on 1450 WILM in Wilmington Delaware to replace Jon Watson in the morning with Glenn Beck to capitalize on the ratings being given up by 1210 WPHT Philadelphia.
