We, the students of Julius West Middle School, have started a peaceful protest in the form of a petition. The School Store at our school, where we can buy school supplies and snacks, has gotten rid of Ice(a sparkly soft drink with only 5 calories and NO sugar OR caffeine), Takis(spicy chips), Gushers(fruit gummies with fruit juice inside), and Veggie Straws! These can be bought with money, or JW dough! JW dough is the school currency, and we can earn it(two=25 cents) by behaving properly or being respectful. If we get rid of the snacks and drinks, we have no motive for behaving properly, and our school will fall into a chasm of chaos ominously deeper than the one we have tripped into currently. Moreover, kids can also bring money($1.00 per Ice) that will go towards better school lunches and buying more snacks. Without good lunches, not only will kids go hungry, but if they do eat, they will suffer from unhealthy, horrendus-tasting meals. We suspect that their plan is that if they want to spend their money, they can buy school supplies that nobody wants instead, so that kids will ahve pencils, as many kids don't bring pencils to school. However, this will not work. As of today, May 24, 2022, they only have water in flimsy plastic water bottles that are bad for the enviroment, and Cheeseits. Just today, Me and my friend(we wish to remain anonymous) went to the store. The line is usually five to ten minutes long, but instead there were not even five people in line at it's longest. When I asked to buy three cheeseits, they forced me to take four instead, as they had not enough change to give me two dollars. As you can see, the problems are tremendous. Sign to help JW!
