In 1997 Anthony Horowitz, creator of Foyle's War and writer for Agatha Christie's Poirot came up with a great idea for an original new TV show. He combined the genre's of sci/fi with crime and came up with Crime Traveller.
The show centred around maverick detective Jeff Slade (Micheal French) who discovers that his friend and department science officer Holly Turner (Chloe Annett) has a Time Machine in her flat, built by her father. The machine is crude and cobbled together but it works. Together Slade and Holly are able to use the machine to be in the right place at the right time and Slade's crime solving record goes through the roof.
The show received reasonable viewing figures but due to various reasons was never recommisioned. This is a crime which doesn't need a time machine to solve but unlike the past can be changed.
We the undersigned call on the BBC to rethink their awful and frankly mad decision of 12 years ago and bring Crime Traveller back NOW!!!
