The police was made to protect and serve their communities but for years there has been horrible cases of police brutality all across the United States. The majority of citizens who fall under victims are African Americans and of Latino backgrounds. It is unfortunate that there is many negative profiling causing police officers to approach these situations enforcing unnecessary violence that lead to deaths of innocent people. This has been a social problem that has caused protests to bring justice to those who were killed under the supervision of police officers. We need a change, to improved our communities and feel safe to call for help not fear the help. The list of those who were killed by police officers has added the name George Floyd, a man who was restrained to the street floor by a group of officers that after 8 minutes of the them on top of Floyd, Floyd was non-responsive and taken where he was pronounced dead. This isn't the first time a live was taken under those circumstances. It is time to help achieve that change.
This petition is to help bring change to law enforcement to not only bring justice to those who died but to bring a better future. Law enforcement are trained before progressing to their career as police officers but it is time new regulations come in to improved how law enforcement should handle and attend any situation especially regarding people of color. Racial profiling needs to end therefore they should be EDUCATED before judging and pursuing any unnecessary arrests of any citizen. Although there is much anger for the injustice of these innocent people who got killed, we have to think about the future, if we can change the way police officers are trained and educated, a safer future may be waiting. We want law enforcement to respect us and we'll respect back.
