Every day on our Roads someone Dies. Last week unfortunately for My Family, My Niece was 1 of the unfortunate to lose her Life to The Bruce Highway. A Car crossed the line directly into her path and Killed her instantly. There was and is no Barrier to have stopped this tragic accident.
Since Emma's Death there have been more lives lost on this Highway, and more Families are feeling the loss of innocent children. It is my belief if there was a Barrier of some description, some if not all these Deaths can be prevented, where by ceasing Head On Accidents.
The Bruce Highway stretches through the outskirts of Cities and is at times remote where there are no street lights and definitely no barriers between either side of the Highway.
We the undersigned, beg the Queensland State Government to improve the Bruce Highway by erecting Barriers in all remote Towns from Brisbane to Cairns especially in the stretch between Gympie and Bunderberg.
These lives are being lost predominantly due to head On Collisions. It is our belief that it is not just the state of the roads that are at fault, but the lack of protection to oncoming traffic.
