Tractors mostly run on red diesel which cost between 30 and 40p per liter opposed to Derv which costs 90 to £1 per liter.
Farmers and builders are running these vehicles on the road at peak times slowing up traffic on main roads well outside the place they are based. They use red diesel because they are supposed to be off road and they also pay small amounts of road tax.
We, the undersigned, petition to keep tractors off publics roads at peak times. Keep tractors within a mile of their farm base.
