Ban Single-Use plastics

The indiscriminate use of “Single use plastics” in the food industry is becoming an uncontrollable phenomenon leading to a deliberate destruction of the environment and natural resources. It is also costing tax payer money enormously to control, manage and sustain recycling programs which by design are completely ineffective. We call upon the City of Wichita to Ban the use of Singe-Use plastics throughout the food industry - restaurants, catering services, food preparation services, supermarket delis, cafes, cafeterias and all other public places of dining. In addition, the people of Wichita hereby wish to summon and command the mayor and his office to establish an effective Zero Landfill Roadmap for the City.
