Ban Glue Traps Everywhere!

A glue trap is a type of “pest control” in which traps a small animal by permanently attaching it to a glue board. Usually, the animal is brought in by an attraction, such as free food, and then while trying to reach it, its limbs get permanently attached to the adhesive.

Now we have to ask ourselves, what happens next for the small animal?

Many people do not bother or care to know the answer. The reason why they do not want to know is probably because they feel it is wrong or because they simply find these small animals as “pests” and do not care what happens to them. Although, what some people are not aware of is how cruel their deaths really are.

Glue traps are inhumane.

After they are attached to a glue board, the animals suffer for days. While trying to free themselves from the adhesive, these poor animals usually break their arms, legs and sometimes necks. If their mouths are not attached, they will often gnaw off their limbs, trying to free themselves. If their mouths are attached to the glue, then the animal will either die of suffocation or starvation, DAYS after being attached to the board. Usually, pieces of their skin, fur, feathers, or whiskers are painfully torn from their bodies during this time. Because of the excessive stress placed on the animals, they urinate and defecate on themselves. Not only is this uncomfortable and cruel towards the animals, but it is also unsanitary for the human as a potential source of the hantavirus.

The glue trap is a horrible invention that we need to ban!
