Atlanta United FC season ticket holders were sold tickets under the impression (given by Atlanta United FC staff) that all home games for the inaugural 2017 season would be played at Mercedes Benz Stadium (MBS). The club announced an initial delay of MBS construction and provided a discount and other small benefits to season ticket holders as compensation for the delay.
This initial compensation did not represent equal value to the value lost by season ticket holders. Nonetheless, said ticket holders accepted the compensation offer and continued to support the club with pride and en masse
On April 18 2017, the club announced the opening of Mercedes Benz Stadium would be further delayed. It is the belief of the undersigned that, in light of this additional delay, compensation that more fairly represents the value lost be provided by Atlanta United FC to season ticket holders.
We, the undersigned, request that Atlanta United FC provide a 25% discount in the form of a credit or refund for any and all remaining 2017 home games not played at Mercedes Benz Stadium after July 4th 2017. This is to include any home playoff games following the 2017 regular season.
Additionally, we request that all season ticket prices be frozen through the 2020 MLS season at the publicly published rate as of January 1 2017.
