Every year thousands of dogs and cats are killed in Idaho due to over population. Shelters are overflowing with homeless and neglected animals, many of which will be killed to make room for more.
Currently, Kootenai County is facing a cat crisis due to unaltered cats roaming freely. The price of altering pets can be cost prohibitive for many Idaho residents.
We, the undersigned, call on Idaho State Legislators to support an Animal Friendly specialty license plate, which would benefit the residents and animals of Idaho in that the proceeds from the sales of these plates would be dispersed to counties and/or municipality animal shelters that care for abandoned and abused animals.
Funding would be used for spay and neuter programs that would benefit all.
