THE CITY OF HATTIESBURG RECEIVES APPROXIMATELY 20% IN REVENUE FROM LOCAL BARS AND RESTAURANTS IN THE LOCAL AREA.
THE INTRODUCTION OF THIS NEW ORDINANCE HAS CAUSED A MAJOR REDUCTION IN THE PRODUCTION OF SALES FOR THE LOCAL ESTABLISHMENTS.
WE THE LOCAL BAR OWNERS OF HATTIESBURG, CALL ON THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF HATTESBURG TO ALLOW MINOR PROVISIONS TO THE LOCAL SMOKE FREE ORDINANCE OF 2006.
(1) ALLOW STAND ALONG BARS AN EXEMPTION TO NEW ORDINANCE.
(2) WE AS TAX PAYERS TO ALLOW PATRONS OVER THE AGE OF 21 TO ENTER OUR ESTABLISHMENT AND CONDUCT THEMSELVES ACCORDING TO THE LAWS.
