New amendment in Child Protection Act 1999 is needed whereby a child sex offender who pleads guilty to an offence against a minor will not be allowed bail under any condition.
At present they are given bail and given conditions to abide by but are still given freedom to roam the community.
We, the undersigned, call on the The Honourable Tracy Davis Minister for Child Safety and disabilities, who is committed to the vital work of protecting Queensland's most vulnerable children and young people to make the changes!
It is an expectation of each individual to maintain and promote a safe environment for all children and for those who are unable to defend themselves.
It is therefore of the utmost importance to not allow sexual predators bail.
