Alter the rules at Mildenhall cemetery re placing flowers and ornaments on loved one's plots

Following a recent letter from Mildenhall Parish Council to my father Mr Barrie Gardiner which asked him to remove flower pots, ornaments and solar lights from my mums grave. The letter from them said this does not abide by there rules.
We are asking the council to consider altering these rules which we feel are outdated to take in consideration the feelings of grieving families and allow tasteful and suitable decorations and tributes. For reference please see front page of Newmarket journal November 1st 2012.
Petition to request a review of rule 'page 3 paragraph 5'.
We the undersigned present this petition to request Mildenhall Parish Council review the outdated rule made in 1970 in regard to graveside memorials at Mildenhall cemetery to show more compassion to grieving families and allow appropriate tributes.
