These athletes have worked countless hours over the last 10 months, with this competition as their goal. We have personally seen their heartbroken reactions at having it taken away, without the option of rescheduling. We especially feel for our Seniors who will never have the opportunity to compete on a State floor again. We are hopeful that a tentative reschedule date can be set, and that options such as restricted audience size, or no audience at all, could allow this event to move forward.
We, the undersigned, would like the Idaho High School Activities Association to reconsider the cancellation of the 2020 State Cheer and Dance Competition. We understand that it is difficult to set a firm rescheduled date at this time, but we hope that the IHSAA will consider rescheduling the event for May or even June.
