In 2010, the NFL stopped awarding rings and jackets to players inducted into the Hall of Fame who were deceased at the time of enshrinement. Since the NFL is a multi-billion dollar industry, this practice is unjustifiable. The family members of these deceased athletes deserve these mementos in honor of their family members. In addition, members of the families deserve the right to speak at the induction ceremonies and not be replaced by an NFL video of career highlights. Please consider joining me in supporting this petition to challenge an NFL 'rule' that is both insensitive and unfair.
We, the undersigned, request the NFL to award rings and jackets to the families of deceased Hall of Fame inductees and to allow family members or other chosen individuals to speak on the players behalf instead of showing an impersonal video.
