As a disable Veteran, we are limited by Government red tape. In order to apply for Government benefits for the Disable, you have to be SSI/SSA disable. The Veterans Administration can also label a Veterans "Disable", but is does not hold the same weighted value. The key word is "Disabled." These are two Government agencies that do not hold the same weighted value when the word "Disable" is applied.
The policies of these agencies needs to be change so that All "Disable" people have the sames "Privileges". An example is" My daughter receives SSI and I Disable Veterans benefits. When I tried to apply for just a Discounted Metro Card, I do not qualify but my daughter who is SSI "Disable" qualifies. "These are two Government agencies same weighted value." And in review, "Disable Veterans and SSI "Disable" are not equal when determining benefits. Why!
