Other countries all over the world celebrate their patron saint or have other days, so why is England left out?
St. George's Day should be a day of celebration up and down the country - an English national holiday!
Winston Churchill wrote:
"There is a forgotten, nay almost forbidden word,
which means more to me than any other.
That word is ENGLAND."
We ask for St. George's Day, 23rd April, to be recognised as an English national holiday and as a day of celebration for England and St. George.
Other countries such as Ireland, Scotland and Wales celebrate their patron saint, so why is England left out!!
We are patriotic to our country and believe we should celebrate our own patron saint St. George and have it recognised as an English national holiday!
