It has come to the attention of numerous students and staff that at time the ACAP Sydney facilities at times can be difficult to learn in. This is due to the influxes of temperatures, which has been linked to decreased concentration and ability to retain information. It is our hope to involve ACAP students in shaping their learning environment, ensuring an open dialogue in the hopes of promoting positive community change at ACAP.
This project is being completed as part of our SWSP6073 Community and Advocacy with ACAP.
Does sitting in the classrooms at ACAP make you feel suffocated? Have you ever thought you’re suffering from heat stroke or getting frostbite? Do you find you can’t pay attention to what the educator’s saying because you are such an uncomfortable temperature?
IF SO, please sign our petition. We are a group of MSW(Q) students undertaking our Community and Advocacy subject and for our assessment project we have decided to try and do something about the heating and cooling issues many of the ACAP classrooms experience, as we all have a right to a pleasant and comfortable learning environment
