Taking the New York State regents exams, even though it is good to have, what can it really do for us? They don't really have any value on your diploma after you graduate, but the regents can also keep you from graduating.
Many kids end up dropping out of high school because of the regents. To top it off the regents is also a waste of money to our state.
Estimation of the costs of all the regents in the state of New York is $13.7 million. New York could save 1.6 million if they cut the global and U.S regents. Most colleges look at the regents just as a final exam rather then a regents.
We, the undersigned, call on the state of New York to eliminate the New York regents exams.
It could save many students futures and save the state lots of money.
