The "Quiet Zone" policy that was enforced at semester has angered many of us. iPods can be used as educational tools, and cell phones are as much of a distraction as other things teachers condone in their classrooms, such as doodling. If this policy continues, many of us will have such tarnished permanent records that colleges may overlook our admissions because of all the detentions and suspensions due to iPod/cell phone use.
All we ask is that you either cut back on the enforcement of this rule, or completely abolish it altogether.
We, the undersigned, ask that the Waukesha School Board and Administrators at South allow the use of cell phones and iPods in class and also allow the abolition of the "Quiet Zone" rule at WSHS.
