Abolish interest rates on student loans.
Average student loan amount $65,000; interest rate 6%. Making the actual loan worth over $400,000.
The loan comes from the federal government.
Federal government is able and has the power to significantly reduce or even do away with interest on student loans.
I’m not asking for government to pay for education, I’m merely stating the interest is an unnecessary tax.
We, the undersigned, call on the Federal Government to abolish the interest rates on student loans.
