The Digital Fundamentals course (CETT 1325) should not be a mandatory requirement for Computer Maintance Technology.
Digital Fundamentals (CETT 1325) is not specifically designed for Computer Maintance Technolgy. Many students have left this technology based soley on this class.
Many others are talking about dropping too.
Please replace this course with something more suited for CMT.
We the students of the Computer Maintance Technology Department at Texas State Technical College are uniting together to strongly request a replacement course for the Digital Fundalmentals course (CETT 1325), that is currently required for a Certificate or A.A.S. degree. We agree that the DC and Digital knowledge is essential to advancement in the "Real Technical World." What we are saying is that the level at which we are taught draws us more into the electricians field and away from Computer Technology.
