Dickens Boulevard is now public highway, with a speed limit of 30mph, however following the recent Annual Parish Council meeting, it has become apparent that many residents are concerned over the speed which vehicles are travelling along Dickens, especially in the vicinity of the school.
Central Bedfordshire can impose a 20mph limit, however they will not do so unless we can prove to them that there is a significant local demand for the change. I have therefore started this petition in order to persuade Central Bedfordshire to impose a lower speed limit (supported by appropriate signage).
We, the undersigned, call upon Central Bedfordshire Council to promote a traffic order to impose a 20mph speed limit on Dickens Boulevard, Fairfield Park, for it's entire length (Between Hitchin Road and Hardy Way).
