The report continues, "Senior doctors said the failure to ensure independent medical exams to determine their condition was "morally repugnant". In a letter to The Times newspaper, some 120 signatories from the medical profession called for an independent investigation. They also criticised the "shameful" refusal of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to respond to a British Medical Association request to send a team of doctors to the Cuba terror camp."
