This will affect a community of approximately 600 people and its main source of income if the school is closed. The Board states that is will save $500,000+ which is less than 1% of the budget. I do not support overcrowding of schools, alienating a community with the closure of the school, bussing children to another district when our school passes all of its state and federal inspections, and doing all of this to pass a bond issue and get more tax money to build new schools on the basis of overcrowding in which the board created the circumstance in the first place.
