I don't know how this fits in with the Manchester Tree Strategy but trees are essential, in urban areas, to clean the air and ameliorate temperatures in both summer and winter. Trees should only be felled if they are a danger, or create great inconvenience, to the public.

I support the Whalley Range tree Group in their efforts to save their urban trees. Trees are of great benefit to the environment, wildlife and the quality of peoples' lives.

the trees earmarked for felling are not diseased or dangerousto to anyone who can see in front of them. during a time of severe council budget cutbacks this plan seems more than ridiculous however you look at it. I am sure if the same trees being felled were in david davidsons neighbourhood it would be a very different story indeed - this man needs to explain a lot indeed !
