I was never told of any risks.

The mesh has totally changed my life. I am in constant chronic pain some days I cant even get out of bed. I am incontinent the mesh has eroded into my virginal wall causing it to shrink which makes sex almost impossible. I have had to give up my job which I love and was going to stay until I retired I was only 43 when this all started. No women or man should have to suffer when it could have been totally avoided. The mesh implant is still in my body as it was too near bowel to remove and partly crystalized onto bones. I worry constantly that it could all happen again. I would NOT recommend anyone to have one of these procedures done.

I have found a surgeon who will remove the TVT but cannot remove it all as to remove the sections embedded into my leg/groin area would cause further damage with no guarantee that I will be pain free but will be I am told totally incontinent or may end up with a colostomy bag This surgeon has only removed two TVT's I am scared to death and don't know what to do any more. I was deliberately miss examined by a consultant at the original hospital who did the operation but how do I prove anything as they cover up and write what they want in your notes which they then have to give you permission to see and get copies of. He actually said it was tough I had to put up with the suffering as it was to dangerous to remove. I feel like I have nobody to go to my GP is good but they don't seem to have much knowledge of what to do.
