It is a womans right to feed her child where ever she chooses. She should not become a second class citizen and be made to feed her child in a toilet or even a feeding room. A womans breast is made to produce milk to feed their child - why do we have to taint the beautiful natural wonderful act with a sexual, deviat view of a selected old bias dirty few.
All woman are discreet when feeding - give women a break Lay off breast Feeding mothers and if it upsets any people go get a life.

Breastfeeding is such a critical activity for a new Mum - it should be supported in any way possible. Restricting the hours of the breastfeeding clinic will have a detrimental effect on new mothers - my baby is 6 weeks old and I am still struggling. The more support available the more likely Mums will continue to feed - which is the best thing to do for their babies.

I have been going to the breast cafe for 9 months every week and with out this weekly cafe been there i would not have any idea how to cope with different situations,the health visitors,like nora,linda and daryl have been more than helpful and for me i would and could not allow this site to close,i have made really lovely friend at the cafe and have been able to share our experiences,we have new mums every week without fail so its really important that we have this on a weekly basics.

This excellent WEEKLY breastfeeding cafe is an absutely vital part of any local mum's week. It is one of the few forms of true support provided by the NHS after the birth of a child. The rest of the system seems to abandon you as soon as the baby is born. This breastfeeding workshop provides answers to all our questions and prevented me from getting post natal depression. WE NEED IT!

I have attended the Breast Feeding Cafe with my son William (7 weeks old). It is a safe heaven to come once per week due to the following reasons: valuable feed-back reg breast feeding / health issues and networking for new mothers. If this cafe is downsized to once per month it will be a big loss for me and my son but also for other new mothers and the local community. I therefore urge you not to downsize the Cafe and instead allow it to continue on weekly basis.

I have found the cafe invaluable. Without it I would have given up breast feeding weeks ago. (My baby is 12 weeks old). I have been attending since he was 3 weeks old. Please rethink the idea for a monthly only session at Sydenham Green. Its is not easy to access the other proposed sites by public transport and its not local as Lewisham is a large borough and the sites are wide spread. You should be supporting mothers who want to breast feed.

The staff and mums at the Sydenham Green Breastfeeding Cafe have supported me since I arrived in Lewisham with a very young baby. The service is excellent and it is essential for new mums to be able to access weekly support to prevent breastfeeding problems and to promote continued breastfeeding. NHS targets aim to promote breastfeeding and reducing a service like the Sydenham Green Breastfeeding Cafe will only do the opposite.

The Sydenham Green weekly breastfeeding cafe is essential for new mothers. I would have given up breastfeeding after 3 months had it not been for the support of the health visitors and mothers who attend the cafe. The cafe promotes breastfeeding and provides support not given anywhere else to ensure much needed social acceptance.

The cafe has been a fantastic source of support and help which has kept me breastfeeding and enabled me to meet other mums in the area and establish a local support network. I believe it would be much more difficult to provide the same for other mothers if this cafe is reduced to once a month rather then weekly.

Please keep the cafe weekly. It is an invaluable source of support for new mothers. Without being able to rely on the weekly help of the cafe's experienced health visitors I would certainly have given up on breast feeding within the first month of my baby's life. Cafe sessions once a month won't be enough - three weeks is too long for a new mum struggling with breast feeding to wait for help and advice.

I attended the cafe for the first time when my baby was 2 weeks old after suffering a nasty bout of mastitis. I was on the verge of giving up breastfeeding but it was the advice and support that i received from the health visitor and other mums on that day that inspired me to carry on. My baby is now 5 months old and I am still breastfeeding and enjoying it!
