He used the least possible amount of force in order to remove the noncompliant student from the classroom. To penalize him for doing his job is ridiculous! I am a veteran teacher (and my ex-husband is a police officer) and have confidence that Deputy Fields' actions were warranted. The fact that he lost his job for *DOING* his job is unacceptable! The man gets up each day, puts on a bullet-proof vest and goes to work to protect others. He took an oath, and part of the responsibility of that oath is that he would put himself in harms way for the public. What was "caught" on the numerous videos circulating the internet show a police officer doing his job as he was trained. The student made a choice to not comply with his request (which is breaking the law) and the Deputy is the one penalized? What does this say about our country/society and where we are headed?

Education else where and not be allowed on school property, due to liability. The OFFICER NEEDS to be REINSTATED immediately, where SECURITY in greatly
