I say even abused that I went to our local Child Protective Services. We were not satisfied with the way the case was handled. We are now not allowed to see our grandchildren. We were allowed to support, care for, diaper, make sure they had what they needed. Grandparents should have rights in the best interest of the children. There is an emotional bond formed. The children need their support and guidance throughout life. It is devastating to suddenly have that relationship ripped from the children. Everyone we try to seek help from says the same. "You have no rights as grandparents in NC." Help support Grandparents Rights in NC. This has not been amended in a long time. Although, it has been looked at since 2011. As long as our Representatives drag their feet these grandchildren and grandparents are missing out on time well spent.
