This assumption was based on the name 'chronic fatigue syndrome'. I'd like to say that the name of this illness is utterly insulting to the actual illness and pain people suffering from it feel. It's a complete body and cognitive breakdown! It is also a very cruel illness because most sufferers look 'normal'. You tell someone you have aids, MS, cancer, a mental breakdown etc... Then you get sympathy/ empathy and your illness is taken seriously. You tell someone you have chronic fatigue syndrome and people think you're weak and a bit pathetic yet the symptoms can be worse than the illnesses listed above! The plain fact is that inside our 'Normal' looking outer shells, our internal mechanisms are broken as if our immune systems, central nervous systems, hormonal glands etc..have short circuited resulting in an inner torture that no one can see and understand. Would you make a man run on his broken leg? Of course not but you and ATOS are forcing sufferers of CFS to work with broken internal bodily functions which you just cannot see. It's very cruel.

A) there are not enough jobs for the able bodied, atm; and B) There are some illnesses whose effects vary from day to day, which means that these sufferers are unable to commit to work on a regular basis, if at all.

You cannot see this disability and people don't understand what we have to do in order to try to live a normal life. The rain as it hits my skin feels like acid being thrown on me from the burning I feel because of my nerve endings. Just one tap on my shoulder sends shockwaves throughout my body. Being in constant pain is exhausting, not to mention you do have days of being depressed. Like I said just because you can't see the disability doesn't mean it isn't one. What I wouldn't give to have my normal life back as it use to be before I was diagnosed.
