People do complain. The people who should be investigating, isn't. Verizon doesn't care as long as they are getting paid. I highly encourage everyone to sign this petition. Something has to be done to stop this. I remember when I first started getting a monthly bill from Verizon it was $25.00 monthly then it gradually increased to $45.00, don't know how cause I only used my cellphone. The taxes are crazy, its like your paying a tax on a tax.

We are very stricken by the bad economy and can barely pay our bills. I got the cheapest local phone service because it was court ordered for my child. Anyway, my charge was $15.60 and the tax was $9.40 - how is this just?

I am charged all of the same type of taxes on my phone bill as well. I suppose this Excise Tax (standard between $30 - $60) we can claim on our 2006 taxes is to compensate~ Not! If there were any way for me to find out exactly how much I was charged and paid since 2003 to present I would file the entrie amount for the credit.
