Security can also be done away with, we do not need someone to wave to you as you come in the gate. The guards never stop anyone. The back gate never works so, false security. Charge outsiders $ to watch our fireworks that homeowners pay for. You have so many other places to get the money, than from the property owners.

This is no longer strictly a resort/vacation community. If the amenity is business oriented and does not generate a profit, it is not an amenity, it is a liability.

The two sided budget (operational and capital) is designed to be a smoke screen for losing money. If the golf course makes $7000 operationally after "investing" over 3 million dollars from capital reserves, there is still a net loss of 2.93 million dollars, not a profit.

Priorities are being set based on want, not need. Flood damaged roads will not be repaired unless the proposed loan is approved, but the golf course sprinkler system is upgraded with or without the loan. Get the priorities straight, need before want.

I hope it gets better soon because when we moved here our lot assessments were 150.00 dollars/ lot a year. The cost to live here has increased a significantly higher than my income has.
Soon we will not be able to afford to stay here.
I like it here and don't know what the answer is, but what is being done is not working. Thanks for trying, but it is time to do something different.

My question to them is I have a household budget and should I have a short fall are they prepared to make up the difference or would they expect me to make the necessary cuts to balance my own budget. I propose that we as residents refuse to pay for their mismanagement of funds and force them to work within the budget that they have. Really what are they going to do stop us from entering the lake to our homes. I don't think that is going to happen. This is going to destroy this community and all it will do is make it more difficult for many of us that are struggling to make ends meet. For the people attempting to sell homes this is going to place an added burden on the sale. Think about it any future home buyer is going to look at the way these buffoons that call themselves a board are slowly running this place into the ground. I say it is time we as residents hold them responsible and stop being like sheep being led to slaughter and stand up for ourselves.

Wouldn't it encourage multiple lot ownership if at least the assessment on the second lot were reduced. It is really unfair that those property owners in Acorn Hills with huge lots only pay one assessment, while property owners with less land pay double.
