The line-up of trucks will be shortened, but at the expense of widening it i.e. the same # of trucks waiting to cross.

The bottleneck will still persist on the US side, and don't think that the State of Michigan or MDOT is in any hurry to solve Sarnia's boarder crossing dilemma anytime soon.

Althought, not of our making, this is our problem to solve. We need to revisit the idea of a staging area on this side of the boarder to pre-clear trucks headed for the US.

That way, trucks do not have to idle and continue to advance slowly in the line - they know when their number will come up and can relax until they are permitted to enter the bridge crossing zone.
