We have 60-70 cars coming into the street rat running each morning. This is a hilly street with rat runners speeding each weekday morning. Which is due to 7-4 school zone outside Whites State College and to avoid the lights on Samuel street & Boundary road. I have sat in my driveway for 5-7'minutes waiting for the steady stream of traffic between 7.30 & 8.30 am. Cars also use this street from Carina Heights.

We have had measurements of volume and speed and it was decided that traffic calming was warranted. A questionnaire to all residents of the street found that 50% did not want traffic calming, so nothing has been done to date. Surely there are other measures that can be taken to help the 50% of people that would accept traffic calming to stop the speeders down our street. I regularly have trouble getting out of by driveway, being on a curve. This is unacceptable to me and my neighbors.

Victoria st terminates in a small culdesac used as parking by council, ambulances and RACQ towtrucks, these vehicles often reverse into said culdesac with their reverse warning alarm engaged early in the morning and throughout the day, before leaving their engines running so they may sit in the comfort of air-conditioning. The football club itself has games ending at 10pm most evenings up until which the shouting and swearing never ceases, at which point players loudly farewell team mates before beeping their horns and "hooning" off in their vehicles with no concern for local residents. Additionally this football club has a carpark which they NEVER use, instead opting to let players fill any available street parking in the area.
