Even after my mother said she could live in our house and we'd help her take care of the baby (my mum is a midwife and a nurse).

As far as I could tell this was all because of some bitch social worker who tried to bully her into jumping through all these hoops, and took offense when she stood up for herself, and wouldn't take being bullied by social services. They took her baby within 2 days of being born, and she went crazy and is now in a mental institution.
