My brother is attempting to steal her entire estate. She passed away in August of 2012. A doctor's report from April 2012 stated she had dementia and cognitive impairment and was not able to make legal, financial or medical decisions. My brother was POA. In the weeks before her death he changed beneficiaries of all her assets to himself. I contacted Senior Protective Services and was told they could not help me. Apparently they think if the victim is deceased, no crime was committed. I wrote the Attorney General and they never responded. We now have an attorney and will end up paying ten's of thousands of dollars and waiting 2 years for this to get resolved. The system does not work. Do I have any other options?
