Had I had the proper rights I could of stopped this. Sadly I cared more of what and where this child was more then his worthless parents who had the "out of sight out of mind " thoughs. In my step daughters life she has never had stability from her biological mother and although she loves her very much, she needs the stability of a real mother and that's what I give her. If something happened to my husband and she was given to her biological mother, she would be losing 2 parents in one day not just one. We need to protect our children, biological or not.

She is now almost 13. He biological parent was abusive and abused. She failed to protect our daughter from the abuse. We have had custody of her since age 6. During the multiple court cases/ custody battles/ and disagreements over visitation my feelings and opinions have not once been taken into consideration. I was told by a judge that I am "just the step-mother". I love this child just as much as anyone else.
