Come-on the Eurobodalla Council,we have to protect our future(kids) without the kids there will be no one to pay rates in the future in this shire,and then we won't need council workers,so by helping the kids to be safe, we will helping the future of this shire.
If there are NO facilities in this shire, the kids will go to the big smoke.

On any given day, there are up to 30 + children playing at Batehaven park. Beach Road is only a few meters away. I understand it is the responsibility of parents to ensure their children are being watched AT ALL TIMES but toddlers are fast. The park is popular with locals / tourists and it would increase the use if it is a safer area to play.

Thepark on riverside dve is terrible, it is so small and being so close to tourist attractions its not at all appealing for parents/visitors to the area,I think that park should be upgraded. Also, when there has been as little as 1/2inch of rain you cannot go there for a week,its built lower than the grass area and just becomes a swamp! I wont take my children there to play anymore and Im sure many others feel the same.

Eurobodalla Shire council must come inline with Bega Shire council and fence it's parks. Too many parks are near water/roads making them unsafe for our children. Eurobodalla Shire Council has provided the children of the shire with beautiful play equipment and we want our children to get outside and play in them, but please keep our children safe too.

I would like to see the park at corrigans beach fenced. There has been deaths on that busy rd already. The park is next to the rd and is very popular, aswell as being close to the beach. It might not be the most dangeous however it is extremly popular and would make it alot easyier and safer for everyone.

I have 2 children, one of which has disabilities.. My eldest child is 4 years old and has no concept of danger and often runs off. I am unable to actually go to the park because there is no fencing - my son has on a few occassions run close to/onto the road and im terrified of what might happen. Having 2 kids makes it impossible in my situation. I do my very best, am a good mum but the parks here are un-acceptable. Even parents without special needs children find the no fenced parks unsafe.

I have been hoping this would be done for years now, There have been many times when at the parks in Narooma and surrounds kids wander down to the water. Is it going to take a child drowning before something is done ?? Prevention is the key as Im sure it would be cheaper for council to erect fences around our parks then to be sued by some poor grieving family.

As a parent, I am aware the responsibility of my children is in my hands. However, with 4 children (8, 5, 3 & 3), it is often difficult to maintain a visual line on each of them especially when these playgrounds become very busy - in particular the 'Rotary Park' complex. Although the outlook is spectacular - the proximity to water and a busy road should deem the erection of Aus Standard fencing, ensuring our children remain safe at all times. Thank you.
