I'm 51 now and have had no bad side effects from it. I don't smoke more than 5 a day. If smoking caused heart disease and cancer, only smokers would get those diseases. All the propaganda ads don't make sense. Many people who don't smoke get those illnesses and worse. I don't understand what the big deal is. People have been smoking tobacco cigarettes and marijuana cigarettes for 80 years. There needs to be fairness for smokers already! Alcohol is bad for you, too if you do too much of it. Smoking tobacco cigarettes does not impair people like drinking alcohol does, too. Smoking tobacco cigarettes has health benefits to it. Alcohol doesn't have as much health benefits as smoking tobacco cigarettes do. Also, insurance companies shouldn't discriminate against smokers. Do they ever ask if someone eats candy bars (sugar), drinks pop, eats greasy foods? Let adults smoke if they want to. It's under the Constitution of the USA, "Pursuit of happiness". And discrimination is wrong and un-American.

The voting issue was a little confusing and that's the way they wanted it so people would make the wrong choice. I wonder how many people did. They just put a no smoking sign in my entrance way of my apartment. Are they telling me I can't smoke in my own home.

I think Ohio is going a little too far with this ban on where you can and cannot smoke. New York has a smoking ban but I stayed in a motel that has smoking rooms.

They did not make the choice to smoke cigarettes. However, those of us who do choose to smoke should have rights as well. My place of employment has designated ventalated rooms for smokers. Now we will have to go outside in the bitter cold if we want to smoke a cigarette on our breaks.
