If someone breaks the law, their rights should not be superior to those of their victims. Why the Judges are interpreting the Act in this way is a direct result of sloppy drafting, in keeping sadly with many of the laws passed over the past 20 years or so. Just look at the quantity of anti-terrorist legislation since 2000 and they still can't get it right. It is enough to make you pull your hair out, and it is no wonder politicians are despised.
