Also the proposal's pretence as an 'Eco' town is misleading and an excuse to encroach into the Green Belt Area.
Essential support for such a large community has not been thought out or planned to be provided/funded carefully enough.

It contains insufficient costings or environmental impact assessments for a credible decision to be made in any Sustainability Appraisal. So many fundamental flaws exist in the planning concept that it would be inappropriate to waste resources in preparing a thorough, detailed plan which can be taken through a proper consultation exercise.

1] The additional 18000 people will overwhelm the current road system
3] Existing village at Newton will be swallowed up by this development , and other nearby villages adversely affected
Buiding of new housing in Bingham has stopped because there is no demand. Please consider the residents of Bingham, we are not NIMBY's. All I want is Bingham to remain the place it is. The place my husband and I chose to bring up our children. Thank You.

In light of recent issues with changes in the train timetable it is obvious that there is no spare capacity as it is and it is hardly 'eco' to build on greenfield sites either!

Anonymous, Bingham, Nottingham, United Kingdom
Please cancel these plans and let us enjoy our little country town. First we had the asylum centre then they extended the prison now you want to swamp us completely. This is the wrong area to do this. The land is subject to flooding and the road inrastructure etc is already over stretched. If I had wanted to live in a large conurbation I would have moved to one. Please think about the on-going impact opf all these "plans" on the current residents!!!!

Having so many houses built over agricultural land is far from eco friendly. I also believe that we do not have the infrastructure to support such a vast number of houses. You can't just build it in it has to grow over time. The roads are bad enough around here, with so many more houses it would be unbearable.
