I think that RANDWICK COUNCIL
Should seriously think about changing the zoning of the historical subur b of RANDWICK AND PRESERVE all the historic conservation areas of RANDWICK.
They should not allow any HIGHRISE dwellings in these areas.
This would ensure that the beautiful historic homes and buildings are maintained in an old world village atmosphere.
It would make RANDWICK stand out from most other suburbs of Sydney.
I totally disagree with this planned destruction of Nugal Hall by foreign investors. AND DEVELOPERS who would not relate to or treasure parts of our AUSTRALIAN HISTORY and what has made AUSTRALIA what it is today.

I object to the DA proposel. We must preserve such beautiful buildings for future generations as they are part of our national history. When I look at Nugal Hall - I look at Queen Victoria Building, I look at St Mary's Cathedral, Vaucluse House, Cadmans Cottage - all national icons.

I think that Randwick council should not allow this development be behind Nugal Hall..The historic areas of the RANDWICK suburb should preserved rather than damaged by developerS just out to make money.Future generations will be grateful for this preservation and conservation of the historical sites.

I strongly object to the proposed development which is a gross overdevelopment of the current single residential site. The proximity of the proposed development to the heritage listed Nugal Hall would have significant adverse impacts and would undoubtedly damage the foundations and special features of this unique property. Council must protect Nugal Hall to ensure the integrity of this unique heritage listed property is preserved.

The proposed multi story development is of a scale totally inappropriate for the block of land on which it would reside. It is also totally inappropriate for the precinct especially given its proximity to the historic Nugal Hall. It would be shameful if Randwick Council allowed it to go ahead. Past Randwick Councils have a history of allowing overdevelopment and of insensitive management of heritage buildings. Let there be no return to the bad old days.

Nugal Hall is a great survivor of a bygone era in Randwick. I'm worried about the 1850's foundations surviving large excavations in such close proximity. Nugal Hall has been so beautifully restored and maintained for the last 30 years by the present owners that we as a community should help them keep it that way into the next century. Please don't let this be another Blenheim House situation, crowded out by units with no land or frontage whatsoever. Or as in my ancestors home, Keira Villa in Carrington Road Randwick, which was demolished in 1960 as no one thought to restore and maintain it.
