People will be heartbroken and it will not reflect well on the park management. Generations of park goers return to ride the rides with thier children that they loved. If they want a generic flashy park they would go to the cookie cutter 6 Flags or its ilk. Don't get rid of the memories your stewards of. Its like taking a familly heirloom and pawning it to get some new tires.
