It gives the child chores and the child loves to care for the chicken's. This is a great way to teach your children to be reasonable. Children love caring for chicken. The chicken are smart. In my case, my chicken's help me remember my children. My children was raised on a farm where we would at night gather the chicken's put them in their little barn. Then in the morning let them out feed and care for them. It is a fun way of life.
